The Center for Entrepreneurship at West Liberty University
Dr. Carrie White is the Director of The Center for Entrepreneurship at West Liberty University and Associate Professor of Business Law and Entrepreneurship. For the past nine years, Dr. White has also served as Chair of the Department of Marketing and Management in the Gary E. West College of Business.
Prior to coming to West Liberty University, Carrie was a sport and fitness attorney and owned and operated two sport and fitness businesses. Event Pros, Inc., located in Pittsburgh, was a sport promotion corporation which provided sponsorship and endorsement contracts for non-traditional sport athletes. Fitness Dynamics, was a personal training studio located in McMurray, PA and specialized in women’s and sport specific fitness training. She was also the Fitness Director for both The Rivers Club and the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh.
Carrie is originally from Wintersville, Ohio and received both her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Business from Franciscan University. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, PA. She received her Doctorate in Education from WVU. Her research is in the field of intellectual property law in higher education and entrepreneurship. She has a son, Ryan in Greenville, South Carolina and she currently lives in West Alexander, PA with her husband Craig White, and five large dogs.
