The Vision Shared Board of Directors come from different regions of West Virginia and represent almost every sector of the state’s economy, from business and labor to academia and the non-profit world. Vision Shared operations are managed by a president/chief executive officer who, in coordination with a support services provider, ensures that all aspects of Vision Shared’s administration and activities adhere to federal and state regulations and the highest standards of operation.

Wayne Morgan is President of West Virginia American Water and responsible for delivering high-quality water service to more than 600,000 people throughout West Virginia.
Wayne has more than 25 years of experience in the management, operation, planning, design and construction of water and wastewater systems. In 1991, Wayne joined West Virginia American Water as Production Superintendent of Central Operations, and in 1994, he accepted the position of Regional Manager of Operating Services for American Water Works Service Company Inc. In 2006, Wayne became Vice President of Service Delivery in the Northeast Region of American Water before returning to West Virginia in 2007.
Wayne is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Water Works Association and the National Council for Public and Private Partnerships, for which he served as chairman of the Water Institute in 2002. He served on the Board of the New Jersey Alliance for Action from 2005 to 2007. He was also the American Water System representative for the U.S. Conference of Mayors Business Council in 2000.
Since returning to West Virginia, Wayne has been active in local economic development organizations. In addition to Vision Shared, he is a board member of the Charleston Area Alliance, the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the West Virginia Section of American Water Works Association, Advantage Valley, and a member of the West Virginia Business Roundtable and the Rotary Club of Charleston.
Wayne received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University. He is a Professional Engineer registered in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, and Missouri, and holds a Class 4 Water Treatment Plant Operator’s Certificate in West Virginia.
