LEADERSHIP

The Vision Shared Board of Directors come from different regions of West Virginia and represent almost every sector of the state’s economy, from business and labor to academia and the non-profit world. Vision Shared operations are managed by a president/chief executive officer who, in coordination with a support services provider, ensures that all aspects of Vision Shared’s administration and activities adhere to federal and state regulations and the highest standards of operation.

Jeff James is the CEO and Founder of Mythology LLC, a marketing management and growth strategy consulting practice serving organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Prior to starting Mythology, Jeff held numerous sales and marketing management roles during his 14 years at Microsoft Corp. He most recently served as Director of Relationship Marketing for the $8 billion U.S. enterprise (corporate) market where he was involved in leading the strategy development and marketing execution for growing revenue and customer satisfaction among Microsoft’s largest corporate accounts.

Jeff previously served as Business Marketing Officer for Microsoft’s Greater Pennsylvania District based in Malvern, Pa., responsible for all communications and marketing for this $250 million market. He spent three years managing the MSN advertising unit’s vertical marketing efforts. While at MSN, Jeff also managed consumer channel marketing strategy for MSN Internet Access.

Jeff has spoken at numerous advertising and marketing conferences and has held additional sales and marketing positions at Microsoft. He served as director of marketing at FLX Corp., a human resource software company previously based in Malvern, Pa. He also ran an early web consulting business, Digital Fish, which assisted non-profit organizations in taking advantage of the power of the Internet.

In addition to his Vision Shared board position, he leads Vision Shared’s Creative Communities Team and its Create WV movement. He is active in several community initiatives focusing on economic development, mentoring and anti-racism issues.

Jeff holds a BA in Business Management and an MS in HR/Industry Labor Relations from West Virginia University and currently resides in Charleston, W.Va.
