LEADERSHIP

The Vision Shared Board of Directors come from different regions of West Virginia and represent almost every sector of the state’s economy, from business and labor to academia and the non-profit world. Vision Shared operations are managed by a president/chief executive officer who, in coordination with a support services provider, ensures that all aspects of Vision Shared’s administration and activities adhere to federal and state regulations and the highest standards of operation.

Edward J. George is a member of the law firm of Robinson & McElwee PLLC in Charleston. His practice involves public utility law, environmental law, alcohol beverage law and legalized gaming law.  He serves as chairman of the firm's Government Relations Department. As a registered professional lobbyist, Edward represents a host of client interests before the West Virginia Legislature and the Executive Branch of state government. 

Edward was elected to the membership of Robinson & McElwee in 1997. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.

Prior to his position on the Vision Shared Board of Directors, Edward was co-chairman of the Vision Shared Permitting Team. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Thomas Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Buckskin Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Advantage Valley, Inc. He is a past member of the Distribution Committee of The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation and currently serves as Robinson & McElwee's representative to the West Virginia Roundtable.
