LEADERSHIP

The Vision Shared Board of Directors come from different regions of West Virginia and represent almost every sector of the state’s economy, from business and labor to academia and the non-profit world. Vision Shared operations are managed by a president/chief executive officer who, in coordination with a support services provider, ensures that all aspects of Vision Shared’s administration and activities adhere to federal and state regulations and the highest standards of operation.

Becky Ceperley is the President and CEO of The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation in Charleston, W.Va.

Becky is a past president of the League of Women Voters of the United States.  As the national president of the League, she was active in seeking congressional action on a broad range of public policy issues including the fight for the passage of the National Voter Registration Act and campaign finance reform. Following her tenure at the League of Women Voters, she worked to achieve campaign finance reform in Congress as the president of Campaign for America.

In addition to serving as Chairman of the Vision Shared Board of Directors, Becky is a member of the Governing Board of Imagine West Virginia, Vision Shared’s independent policy research institute. She also is a member of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association.

Locally, she serves on the Executive Committee of the Association of Community Grantmakers and is a member of the Community Development Committee of the Charleston Area Alliance. Becky is a former member of the Public Policy Committee of the Council on Foundations, national Executive Committee of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, the Advisory Committee on Election Law to the American Bar Association, the Campaign Finance Institute, and the West Virginia Election Commission.

Becky is a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from the West Virginia University Political Science Department. She also has also received Honorary Doctor of Law Degrees from Ripon College in Wisconsin and the University of Charleston in West Virginia.
